The main properties of white tabular alumina are as follows:
1. The concentration of high purity Al 2 O 3 is 99.4%;
2. Very high crystal hardness;
3. Low yield, high fracture rate 2-3 times;
4. High particle bulk density 3.5-3.6g/cm3
5. High melting point : 2000°C
6, chemical inertness
7, good thermal shock resistance
8, excellent volume stability
9, microcracks
10, high single crystal strength.
Main applications of white tabular alumina
The properties of flaky corundum have many applications in the field of refractories. Among the main application areas, white tabular alumina is suitable for ceramic, chemical and water-bonded substrates. White tabular alumina can be used alone or in combination with the system, or it can be used with calcined and activated alumina. Since flaky corundum shows extremely high purity even with fine powder, it can improve the properties of lower alumina aggregates. For example, bauxite and corundum corundum use the coarse particles of these aggregates, while the medium and fine particles of white tabular alumina are used. As mentioned earlier, the increase in consumption of tabular alumina mainly comes from the continuous casting of steel. The use of slab corundum, especially for skateboards, dip tubes and nozzles, is a requirement of industry standards.
